Page Comments - ON or OFF ?

I've been faced with this question many times and generally for posts, I leave comments on and for pages I explicitly turn comments off. But I'm thinking this through again and I'm not so sure that I should be turning off comments for pages.

Any thoughts regarding this?

If your theme allows it the comments on pages could be good for you.

Comments should be moderated if possible as a lot of crap can get through - but - if you have akismet installed it should get a lot of the spam for yu so there will be little to moderate.

Google Trends suggests a steady slight decline 2011-2012

Google search returns references to Southwest Airlines because LUV is the stock symbol

KeywordSpy suggests not a lot of action:

Unless you're investing in SouthWest Airlines, Chevy LUV trucks, or... hehehe.. Diapers....

People will usually comment on things that they have problems with IMHO

Things like

'Stop my dog from barking at everything'
'How can I stop my wife from spending too much money at the mall'

Keyword Luv is supposed to make people want to add comments in your blog by giving them keyword link text PLUs there is an active community of people who look for keyword luv blogs to comment in so I would imagine number of comments increases from this.

any feedback from anyone using it?
