"what is happening with this service. What is the plan?"
I've been pretty clear. We're open for buisness serving members with lots of blogs to post articles in.
We've already made improvements and more are coming.
BU members are still posting and we're making improvements to improve security.
The plan is to continue offering and improving a product that gives benefits to members.
Right now we have over 278 blogs in the network that are indexed. Blogging Underground still offers tremendous value for those who want to post relevant article pages in blogs indexed by Google.
If you look on the home page of BU you will always see a real time count of how many blogs are in the BPU
You should really be using SUPPORT if you need help:
http://www.bloggingunderground.com/supportI'm not denying some blogs that were here are now gone - but we still have a lot of them for members to post articles in.
From the day we started the network was dynamic has always changed and evolved with blogs coming and going and that will be the same.
I still have new members joining every day and I still hear from members who are telling me their sites are moving up in rankings and asking me for advice.
If blogs are indexed by Google you will get link benefits.
When the latest Panda Quality rollout first happened it hit elsewhere and it was NOT happening here.
Now in retrospect I realize they wiped out alledged "low quality sites" with the new panda quality algos and systems in several stages.
I'm sorry it happened but I didn't do this to you. Google did.
I thought our blogs had value - but I can now see what they want. I don't like it - but I have no choice than to live with it.
It's still workable. There is nothing wrong with links in blogs that Google has indexed.
Before it happened I believed that the sites we included in the blog network were good quality - so I was not worried when it hit the other guys - because many of them were getting lots of rankings and had lots of pages indexed so I thought we had been doing the right things.
Up until then we were fine but then CHANGES were made at Google. This kind of stuff happens.
I've been doing this for 15 years now - so I do not get as upset or worry as much because I almost expect this kind of thing to happen.
After we had sites deindexed - I immediately started posting what was going on and didn't hide anything.
The REAL PROBLEM was all the misinformation that was being passed around. There were no real statements by Google. All of the stuff is gossip and a lot of it was not based on fact.
What I personally see is based on fact.
The sites that were deindexed had one thing in common - they were low quality according to what Google is NOW expecting.
It was a change and the plan is to adapt.
No more using articles from ezinearticles.com
No more plain ugly home pages with no value for the end user other than links to content.
We want to learn what Google wants and do our best to make sure we are giving it to them so we can get more sites up and running that they like and keep in the index.
I am very aware of what I have been offering with a Blogging Underground membersghip as we've been doing this for many years now.
The membership still has a LOT of value.
It was always a great deal to begin with. It still is a great deal.
I'm not worried that the product is bad.
When I started BU I had FAR LESS than 278 blogs.
