Alternative to Keyword rockstar

Hi, keyword Rockstar seems quite pricey at $1000 one off or $400 then $100 per month. Is there an alternative to finding keywords, and checking availability of domains all in one etc?

I know I can get the keyword lists, put them in Go Daddy 500 at a time, then back into a spreadsheet of ones available etc, but this is slow and doesn't give an overall picture. I have an outsourcer so can give this work, but did like Mike's videos showing it all set up with Keyword rockstar.

Any alternatives, or is it worth paying the money for Keyword rockstar?

Right now I use my own in house tool to gather and compile keywords. I am not aware of anything else that does big batches.

Since Google now requires a login to get AVG CPC it's hard to get a lot of keywords.

That's why the BU keyword spreadsheets are so valuable. They have 1,000's of keywords.

Any suggestions anyone?

Hmmm.........thinking of a process. Here is a start, but any way to simplify/make easier/better.

- Open keyword spreadsheet
- Sort global by descending order and delete all results under 300
- Sort CPC by descending order and delete all results under $1
- Copy keywords to notepad or Word and remove space using find and replace
- Copy keywords to Go Daddy and use the Bulk search function
- Search for .com, .org, .net
- Enter available domains into spreadsheet showing if .com,.org,.net are available
- Delete all other keywords

Lol, that's almost what I do except I use 750 as traffic criteria and $2.00 as CPC criteria. I also use .us for possible domain names.

Then I run the whole batch of possible domains through market samurai to get better traffic stats. When I narrow that down I start checking each individual phrase for viability by using the seo competition to rank my cotenders from 1-10 and discarding anything above 4.

When I'm done I have somewhere between 5 and 50 phrases that are going to be fairly easy to achive top ten status. Some so easy they come in s top ten without ever getting an external link. It's rare but it happens and I love it.

Having a process you can follow makes life easier.

Reading your comments above, can you please elaborate on how you use market samurai to pull good related keywords? I have the samurai, but have always felt i am not using it to its full advantage.
