For those of you asking for an html editor you can get a free one at http://net2.com/nvu/ I've never used it but I've heard from friends who have that it is a good editor and not to hard to learn to use for the basics.

Good suggestion!

By the way - I know people hate Word - but you can also use it to make your temp pages - it has a convert to web page option and also - I use it to copy and paste stuff from HTML (such as ezinearticles.com) because Word strips out a lot of stuff but still keeps the links

Open Office has a free version - it might be worth looking at if you don;t have office or Word

Best one I have found is Kompozer http://download.cnet.com/KompoZer/3000- ... 55200.html which is open source and does everything I want to do, and several things I don't  , with html

Thanks for the info on free html editors- Got to the end of Video 3 where Mike talks about Dreamweaver- went and checked on prices- it is out of my price range right now. However, came to the forum and there was my answer- 3 alternatives. Thanks, all!
