Number of Pages to add?

Hi, Mike,

With BU system, we are supposed to build a site up to 10~15 pages. I was wondering if there is actually an upper limit to the number of pages we can add. I'd think that more pages, say 50 pages all optimized for diverse related keywords, would possibly bring in more traffic assuming all the subsequent linking requirements are met. On the other hand, perhaps limiting ourselves to no more than 15 pages is wise so that the topics on our sites can be focused and make easier for people to navigate around? Hope to hear your idea on this.

I like to make all of my sites at least 20 pages. When I find good achievable keywords after the site hits 20 pages, I add them. It's just such easy, instant relevance.

I've often said if I had to start over for some reason I'd find two great niches with hundreds of possible and achievable keywords that were also high paying and have good traffic. I'm thinking way over 50 pages for those two.

The reality is there are no set limits per number of pages. I see sites with one page that rank super well and have high PR and I see sites with thousands of pages that also do very well. Mike says the benefits of more pages start to happen around 10-15. I make at least 20 to make sure I hit the sweet spot.

You just have to make a few sites to see what works best for the way you do things. If you follow the steps it works and you'll make money.

In fact, I am building a few sites now and just this morning it hit me in the head, why not try to have one or two big (if not mega) site in some of the most profitable markets and target various niches inside the market using BU strategy. But, in that case, I guess it will be much much harder to rank because domain name is not likely to be exact match keyword domain.

Anyways, thanks again for your advice. I better get back to focusing on the sites I have today instead of daydreaming about my mega sites that I may never even need. This crazy distraction symptoms never end it almost feels like a disease now.

There is no limit. The more the better as long as they are still relevant to main target keyword.

Once you get trusted for your min keywords it seems almost all related keywords get a trust boost and only require a few links to get to the top.

Once you hit that stage you can keep adding more pages and you'll get more traffic
