Optimum Key Word Density

Postby robtschmidt » Tue Jan 11, 2011 11:42 am

Team,

I am in the process of creating an original article and was wondering how dense my exact keyword phase should appear. I know I saw a percentage once but I do not remember how much it should be.

Any help is appreciated.

There is no exact percantage. Just make sure it is prominent on the page in it's "exact phrase" yet still reads well... and if possible make sure there are at least a couple of variations + related keywords.

Do that and you will be fine.

It doesn't need to be "perfect" if you have good links coming in.

As far as exact percentage - 1% is a general guideline for the entire HTML page - but like I said there is no exact percentage and you should not worry about this. :P

You can always tweak the page after you have it up to make it better. I write my artickes, post them and when they get ranked I see where I could tweak them for better position.

After the page is up you can use AUKDAT to see what the keywrod percentage is on the top 3 pages then tweak yours to match.

That's true! You can always improve what you have!

Another cool thing to do is study your stats to see what keywords Google is sending you traffic for. Then optimize your page fr it and try to push it up to the top! :D
