Christmas Costume Site

Dec 7th update:
My site returned to a high position rank in Google once again.
Thanks to Blogging Underground!!

I have a number of Costume orientated sites of which I can't seem to get to rank now. I made some money during the Halloween season so I know they convert.

For Christmas I took my xmas themed costume site and was hoping to get make some commissions from it.

My site was at number 3 in Google for a few weeks and getting traffic and now it sites at number 129+. I've re-structured by site to use pages not posts, and created back links according to the 12 step success system. Not sure if it will come back to the top of the ranking?

Do I have any chance of having these types of sites rank well? or should I move onto other niches?

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

It is very unlikely it has anything to do with the type of site.

It is something about the site that is causing the problem.

9 times out of 10 when I hear this happen it turns out to be some kind of massive robotic submission to article directories or some blast somewhere that did something Google doesn't like.

Without knowing EVERYTHING (and there is always something missing) you have done it's next to impossible for an outside party to analyze.

That said - if you give me the URL I will look at it and offer suggestions.
